Terberg distributor N.C. Nielsen has delivered three new Terberg RT283 tractors to Heidelberg Materials in Tinglev to keep the internal logistics on track at the Southern Jutland manufacturer of prefabricated concrete components. The new Terberg machines are the real frontline fighters on the site. They ensure fast, efficient and safe transport of the concrete components, which are lifted on to the vehicles by a crane and placed on pallets according to the order. The loads are then driven to collection points, where they are picked up by lorry drivers to be taken to construction sites.
“There is a lot of traffic on site and the terminal tractors are indispensable for moving components from storage to collection points, and sometimes back to the production facility if additional components or adjustments are required. The powerful tractors, with permanent 4-wheel drive, are perfect for this process, they drive equally well on paving, stabilised gravel and public roads,” says Hans Bertelsen.

Digital fleet management gives Heidelberg Materials all the relevant information to optimise operations in terms of energy consumption, safety, proactive maintenance, green driving style and realtime information about who is operating the machines.
